Humbly accept my apologies for keeping you guys in the dark about a little tidbit of information. It happened over two weeks ago, and I can’t believe I forgot to mention it since these things don’t happen very often and all. Better late than never, eh? So, it went down like this…
It was early in the morning… somewhere between seven and eight, and I was just about to leave for school… late as usual, though the majority of the blame for my perpetual tardiness lies in the lap of my parents. Anyways, I was about to descend the stairs when my mother, who was on the balcony, gestures excitedly for me to come back up and see something. Curious, I went.
Lo and behold, in the road were two women. So what’s so odd about that, huh? Maybe the odd thing about that was the fact that one of these women was stark naked. She was obviously distraught. I mean, she had to be, to be running around a residential area completely devoid of clothes at 8 in the morning. She was half sobbing, half shouting about some man, lamenting his… I dunno… leaving her, cheating on her… I couldn’t tell. All I could make out was that her nude lamentations concerned some man. She trod through the streets, seemingly unaware that she was mooning the entire neighbourhood, her hair frazzled and unkempt, her massive (thumbs up) breasts lolling and tumbling with every step she took and every sob she made. Quite a generous amount of bush between her legs, as well.
The woman who was with her was carrying a sheet, and was trying, quite unsuccessfully, to cover her up. This second woman, who was fully dressed, I knew. The naked woman, I did not. I watched quite unabashedly as they disappeared down the street, refusing to move away my gaze even when the clothed woman looked up at my mother and I. My mother, who seemed to know them both, was trying to tell the dressed woman to take her back home. They were heading in the direction of the street next to us. And with all the nasty men there that make me not want to even come near that street with my clothes on, I could hardly imagine why she was heading in that direction.
After the little free peep show was over, I went to school. Of course, when I got to class, I told all of my friends about what had happened. Immediately after I had finished my story, my mother called me… not to give me an update, but to tell me that I had forgotten to take some money from her to pay for something. But since she was on the phone with me already, she decided to give me the update. Apparently, she saw no more of nude woman. She did, however, see nude woman’s husband walking down the street, on his way to work, with the same amount of composure (and clothes) as he always did.
Ahh… Isn’t it so utterly human to find humour in misery of others? I’m not saying that I find the situation funny… Although I do… Just that… Okay, I have no idea what I’m trying to say. But it is unfortunate what happened. One can only imagine what a man could possibly do to elicit a reaction like that… Still, when a naked woman stalks her way across a public street bemoaning some man, it just makes you think… There has to be a moral to this story. I might have actually thought of a moral if I hadn’t been so busy laughing…
